Q12:       I did not appear in JEE 2020 examination. Is there any process of direct admission to B.Tech in JIIT?

Ans.       For B.Tech in Biotechnology, candidates having Physics and Biology/Biotechnology at 10+2 level can be admitted directly through merit of marks obtained in 10+2 examination.(50% seats are reserved under this category)

For other branches of B.Tech, very limited seats are offered on the merit of 10+2 marks under NRI category.

Q:13:     What is the cost of Application Form?

Ans.       For B.Tech                                           :               Rs-1,200/-

                For-MBA, Phd & M.Tech              :               Rs-1,000/-

                For BBA and M.SC                            :               Rs- 500/-

Q14 :      Whether admission is provided under Management/ Sports /Girls Quota ?.

Ans.       No

Q15:       When does the application process start?

Ans .      For MBA applications are available from October 2019.

Applications for PhD Programs are sought in two rounds, one is in May 2020 and the other is in November 2020

                For All other Programs the Applications are available from 06 March 2020 onwards

Q16:       Whether the Application process is ONLINE or OFF-LINE?

Ans.       You can apply online as well as off-line. For online, visit our application partner http://www.getadmissions.com/jaypee . For off-line application, Application forms are available at admission counters of JIIT.

Q17 :      How do I pay my  application fees?

Ans.       Off-line application forms can be obtained by paying cash / Demand Draft/ through card at admission counter. For online application, payment can be made through Net-banking/card/UPI/Demand Draft.

Q18 : Does JIIT provide any Education Lon facility ?

Ans.       Education loan is provided by banks. Required documents needed by banks for loan are provided by the University.

Q20 :      Do you have any seats reserved for  SC/ST candidates ?

Ans.       Yes. At the time of counselling, , the cut-off rank(JEE based admission) is 10% below the JEE(Main) All India cutoff rank as determined for the candidates in General Category.

Q22 :      For MBA admission, Can I appear in Group Discussion/Personal Interview in my state/city?

Ans.       No.  The Group Discussion and Personal Interview is held at JIIT, Noida               

Q23 :      Are all the programs offered by JIIT Full Time?

Ans.    YES.  (Only PhD Program is in Full Time and Part Time mode )

Q26 :      Can I fill more than one application for same process and appear more than once in selection process?

Ans.       No. However, for different admission procedure like B.Tech(JEE based), B.Tech(NRI based) and B.Tech(Bio Based), you can fill-up separate application forms.

Q27:       Is it mandatory to take hostel after admission??

Ans.       No. Hostel is not mandatory.

Q30:       How many students share a room in a Hostel?

Ans.       It is Twin sharing.

Q31 :    Whether hostel rooms are Air-Conditioned?

Ans.       Yes. JIIT Campus including hostel is fully air-conditioned

Q32:       Do I need to indicate my branch while applying for B.Tech program?

Ans.       No, Branches are allotted as per merit at the time of Counselling.

Q33:       Do I need to indicate my area of specialization while applying for MBA program?

Ans :      No. First year courses are common. Choice of specialization is taken at the start of 2nd year.

Q34:       Does Jaypee Business School offer a dual specialization system?

Ans.       MBA program offers Major and Minor specializations.

Q35        Apart from academics what are the other on-campus extra-curricular activities?

Ans :      There are many students driven activities/hubs  which includes academic and club activities. Ans:       No. You have to attend the counselling on the specified date/time and venue.

Hostel Charges (if allotted) including Food and Laundry shall be Rs. 135000/- per annum for Non-NRI Category and USD 2000 for NRI Category. The charges will be subject to revision due to hike in the cost of commodities and other associate facilities as and when deemed fit by the Management.

Caution Money of Rs. 10000/-, which is a onetime charge is refundable after completion of program.

Q.46       Does JIIT offer a minor specialization in B.Tech?

Ans.       YES. A minor specialization is offered alongwith a major specialization in B.Tech, on meeting the required criteria, as per AICTE guidelines.

Q.47       Can a student take courses from SWAYAM?

Ans.       YES.

Q.48.     Does JIIT provide any scholarship to students?

Ans.       Some students are offered with William Webster’s Merit cum Means scholarship. However, JIIT assists in getting the scholarship schemes from various State Governments including Uttar Pradesh Scholarship Schemes.

Q.49       Can I change my branch in 2nd Year based on my performance in 1st Year?

Ans.       NO.

Q.50       Can I attend Counselling(JEE Based) on any date and venue mentioned in the JIIT Admission Brochure 2020?

Ans.       NO.  You can participate in Counselling only on the date and venue specified on your Counselling letter as the call of Counselling is based on the merit of JEE AIR.
